    As you make your way over here this weekend I wanted to let you know about a couple of things that you'll find once you arrive.  Lynnette Jensen of Thimbleberries collects old-fashioned magazine covers with delightful images.  She has taken some of these images and created charming fabric panels that include the main image and borders.  Simply add some coordinated backing and binding, and you have a wonderful little wall hanging!  We have the Cover Story II collection which includes four different panels plus coordinating fabric.  These are going to move quickly so stop in soon for the best selection.  (We'll be posting these in our online shopping cart next week, as well).
    We have some new kits for you to check out this weekend, that are available online and in the store.  Kits are a great way to get started on a project quickly.  Our expert staff has done a great job of choosing coordinating fabrics for some delightful patterns, so make sure to check out what's new in Kit Corner.
    Finally, we recently got word from one of the charities that we support, that they are in dire need of the following items: diapers, wipes, and baby formula.  The Gathering Place is an amazing organization, and we try to help them as much as we can.  If you can donate any of these items please just drop them off at the store, and we'll make sure they get to The Gathering Place later next week.

    Shop Hop 2008  August 1-3, 2008  We're ready to start taking registrations for the Shop Hop Bus.  No need to stress about traffic or directions.  Your two day adventure (Friday and Saturday) will take you around each of the participating quilt stores, giving you 45 minutes at each store!  Registration includes a box lunch and driver's gratuity.  Registration before July 1, 2008 is $70, after July 1, 2008 it is $80.  Please call 720.529.9659 to register, and keep in mind that spaces are limited.

    Scissor Sharpening Service  We now offer a convenient scissor sharpening service.  Simply drop off your scissors by closing time on Wednesday night (8:00 pm) and they will be returned the following Thursday.  This service is available every week.  The cost is $6 for a large pair, $4 for a small pair.  Sharpening for pinking shears is also available, and the costs varies by size.
